Domain History
I have been doing web design since 1999, it started with a extracurricular activity at the school I went at that time. There I learned all the basics of HTML, but the most things I taught myself. My favourite part is the graphical stuff, as you can see at my online portfolio. But I do also enjoy running websites, and the whole stuff behind it like planning, designing a layout, promoting and regularly improving. I know the very basics of PHP and plan to teach myself all the rest when I have time to ;)
Previously I owned three other domains and it all started in April 2001 with "catty.net" and 75MB space. I never used a different nickname in the internet than this, so I decided to take this name. Though I neglected it most of the time it's precious for me.
The second domain name I own is "twist-of-fate.de", one of my eldest projects. It's the domain for my German Ats-Site. Some years ago I read about a movie called "Twist of Fate" and I liked that name so much I created my Btvs- and Ats- site after that. This domain isn't with web space, actually it isn't really paid. It's paid with advertisements which opens after closing the window of the site.
The third domain I purchased in April 2002 is "slayersproject.net". It's a Network of site which have Ats and Btvs as topic. It's half German, half English. Sites like "StakeYard", "After Sunset", "The Evil Dimension" and "Poison" are hosted there. I own this domain with a friend, Harry. It is now hosted at whedon-fans.de, together with different sites dedicated to the genius mastermind that Joss Whedon is.
Another project is Lost-Fans.de, a comprehensive fansite dedicated to the Tv Show "Lost", a group project run together with Snuffkin and Harry.
Total-Immersion.net was purchased in November 2002. It is the fourth and last domain I bought. We had troublr with our host, and I tried but couldn't get the domain back, though I loved the name. I replaced it with triptothedentist.org in May 2006, but due to personal issues and because I never really quite connected with the domain, I hardly updated it and gave it up.
So I thought, after finishing university, it was easier to update this domain. But it lay three years as it was, never updated. Now let’s see how this goes now.
